This policy explains how AI Elite Thinkers ("AET", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects personal data when you visit aielitethinkers.com, subscribe to our email list, take the AI Workflow Maturity Scorecard, or purchase a Platform Mastery Guide. AET is operated by Jamie Whitson from Indonesia.
1. Data we collect
We collect personal data in three contexts:
- Email signups. When you request The AI Playbook, take the Scorecard, or join the community newsletter, we collect your email address and any other fields you fill in (e.g. first name, role, sector, team size). Submissions feed our email service provider.
- Site analytics. We use privacy-friendly analytics (Plausible) and Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate site usage. Plausible does not use cookies and does not collect personal data. Google Analytics 4 uses cookies and may collect IP address, device type, browser, referrer, and pages viewed.
- Purchases. If you buy a Platform Mastery Guide, our payment processor (Lemon Squeezy, the merchant of record) collects your name, email address, billing details, and payment information. AET never sees or stores card numbers.
2. Why we collect it
- To deliver the resources you request (PDFs, scorecard results, guides).
- To send you the weekly community newsletter, if you've opted in.
- To understand which content is useful and which isn't, so we can improve the site.
- To process payments and provide support for purchased products.
- To comply with legal obligations (tax reporting, fraud prevention).
3. Legal basis (UK/EU readers)
If you are in the UK or EU, our legal basis under UK GDPR / EU GDPR for processing your data is:
- Consent — for marketing emails and analytics cookies.
- Contract — to fulfil purchases and deliver requested resources.
- Legitimate interest — for fraud prevention, security, and aggregated analytics.
4. Third-party processors
We share personal data only with the third parties strictly required to operate the site and deliver products:
- Email service provider (Kit / MailerLite) — stores subscriber data, sends emails.
- Payment processor (Lemon Squeezy) — handles all guide purchases as merchant of record.
- Analytics (Plausible, Google Analytics 4) — aggregate site usage.
- Hosting (Cloudflare Pages) — serves the site and may log standard request metadata.
- Search Console (Google) — receives aggregate query and crawl data from search engines.
We do not sell personal data. We do not share personal data with advertisers or data brokers.
5. How long we keep data
- Email subscribers: until you unsubscribe (link on every email) or request deletion.
- Scorecard responses: retained as anonymous aggregates after 90 days.
- Purchase records: retained for as long as legally required for tax purposes (typically 6 years).
- Analytics: 14 months (GA4 default).
6. Your rights
If you are in the UK, EU, California, or another jurisdiction with similar laws, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Delete your data ("right to erasure").
- Restrict or object to processing.
- Export your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time (for example, by unsubscribing from emails).
Exercise any of these rights by emailing [email protected]. We respond within 30 days.
7. Cookies
We use a small number of cookies. None are used for advertising or cross-site tracking:
- Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (`_ga`, `_ga_*`) to distinguish unique users.
- Plausible does not use cookies.
- Lemon Squeezy sets cookies during checkout to manage the cart and session.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Disabling cookies will not prevent the site from working.
8. International transfers
AET is operated from Indonesia. Our processors operate in the United States, the European Union, and the United Kingdom. Where personal data is transferred outside your jurisdiction, we rely on the processors' Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.
9. Children
The site is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be communicated to email subscribers.
